

Saman Sarathchandra
Saman is the Group General Manager of Crown Regency Resorts & Hotels in the Philippines. He is tasked with overseeing daily business activities, improving overall business functions, Asset management, developing strategic plans, creating policies & control functions, and communicating business goals.
Before his GGM position, he was the General Manager of dusitD2 The Fort Manila (D2FM), Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC) Philippines till Aug 2019. He was named one of the Philippines Best General Managers (award/citation) by CMO Asia (recognized by the World Federation of Hospitality Professionals) in Manila on 7 June 2019.
The Sri-Lankan-born Swiss National has over 20 years of Executive experience in the hospitality industry with a wealth of General Manager experience behind him, starting as Food and Beverage Manager, then Executive Assistant Manager – Vice Director at Grand Hotel Europe, Lucerne, Switzerland from 1993 to 1997. he joined Sedona Hotels International by Keppel Land as General Manager in Mandalay 2000. He was promoted to the General Manager of the Flagship Hotel of Sedona Hotels International (Keppel Land) from 2002 to 2011. In 2011, he undertook a two-year stint as President (Myanmar ) Keppel Land Operations Myanmar while sitting as the General Manager of Sedona Yangon and Head for Sedona Operations in Myanmar which included two 5 star properties, one of which Hilton is operating today.
Strong professional with a Master's Degree in Hospitality Management (Eidg. Hotelier Restaurateur HF/SHL) and a BIGA Recognized Diploma by Swiss Federal Office for Industry, and Labor focused on training programs.
